The All-Terrain T/A KO2, a second generation tire from BFGoodrich, is a robust light truck tire designed for jeeps, pickups, and SUVs. This tire is tailored for drivers seeking reliable performance both on and off the road. It’s engineered for versatile traction, exceptional durability, consistent wear, and reliable year-round performance, even in snowy conditions.

These tires boast a durable, racing-inspired compound resistant to cuts, chips, and tears, offering up to twice the lifespan on gravel roads compared to its predecessor. The design features an aggressive, high-void all-terrain pattern with interlocking tread blocks, advanced siping, and multiple features for ejecting debris. This combination ensures superior off-road capability and traction while maintaining good on-road handling and noise levels.

The improved Upper Shoulder Sidewall Armor of the tire incorporates a sidewall rubber compound that is twice as robust as the earlier version. Additionally, it features a Serrated Shoulder Design, which enhances traction significantly. This design is especially effective in providing the necessary grip and steering control in challenging terrains like deep dirt, sand, or rocky surfaces during off-road driving when the tires are “aired down.” This unique combination of a tougher sidewall and innovative shoulder design ensures enhanced durability and superior performance in various off-road conditions.

The internal composition of the tire features dual steel belts, strengthened with spirally wrapped nylon. This robust structure is built upon BFGoodrich’s TriGard technology, which consists of a 3-ply polyester cord sidewall ply construction, although it’s reduced to 2 plies for Load Range C tires. This design ensures both strength and longevity, providing a solid foundation for the tire’s overall durability and performance.
